I’m mentioning this here because the comments of the Gizmodo coverage contain a lively discussion about the merits of Finland’s (and Scandinavia’s more generally) tax regime. It gets a little inflammatory at times, but overall it’s a pretty good back and forth, and there are a lot of smart points about how hard it is to tell just exactly how much we pay in taxes because our collection system is so decentralized.
