Sorry for the brief period of quiet: I was back at school for a brief reunion.  I always wondered exactly how easily I could go cold turkey from news and politics; when I have friends and a good book to distract me, the answer is quiet easily.  Nonetheless, I did miss a lot of interesting reading!
